Kneeling Stability Ball Twists

Difficulty level:
Intermediate
About this video:

Once you have got the hang of kneeling on the ball with your hands free then you can try this exercise which introduces some movement. It will get you used to the feeling of repositioning your balance in response to the shifting of your weight.

1) Kneel up on the stability ball, remembering to use your toes on the ball for balance.
2) Tighten your core muscles, look forward and place your hands together out in front of you.
3) Slowly twist round and point your hands to one side.
4) Return to the start position.
5) Slowly twist round and point to the other side.
6) Return to the start position.

As you twist you will find yourself having to re-balance and adjust your weight on the ball. An easy way to add a degree of difficulty to this exercise is to hold a medicine ball or weight in your hands as you twist. This exercise is great for really improving your balance.
