My story:

My story is typical, cliché and full of sadness and joy. I was a simple kid. I loved sports as a kid, although I rarely excelled at any. I was the skinny athlete with indefinite stamina but no looks and no muscle. It was cool until puberty when I became self-conscious about my looks and people started to chisel their bodies while I was left skinny and confused.

I didn't know the first thing about weight lifting or how to form your body and if I saw a big guy my age, I blamed steroids.
I started doing drugs around 14 and boy did that put my body and weight through a roller-coaster. When I was late in the 17th year of my life, my skin was gray, my eye sockets were black, my hair was long, not cared for and boring, my stamina was down the drain and my brain with it.

That was a changing point in my life. I had gotten thrown out of high school, I had crashed my first car and my family couldn't take it anymore.
I decided to go to rehab.

In rehab, there was a weight rack and some other minimal gym equipment. Even if the place wasn't really top notch and we had to customize some exercises to get gains, I managed to put on over 22 lbs (10 kg) and increase my bench by 66 lbs (30 kg) in one month there. How?

FOOD.

There was a clock ringing when we ate, and there was as much food as you could eat. I ate what the more experienced lifters in there told me to eat and I ate till my stomach was turning inside out. I ate all I needed and more for my body to increase in size and strength. You don't grow when you lift something heavy, you grow when you sleep. I'll emphasize more on that further down.

Anyways, a year later, drug free, my body was top notch and it had only taken a year to become perfectly chiseled and these effects don't wear off when I take a few months off to work hard or anything else that life might put in my way, seeing as I don't use steroids for gains.

I'm currently headed for the army and special ops and if I can be as dedicated in that as I was in my training regime, I'll succeed and I know it. I thought I'd never succeed in anything, but everything is possible.

Diet principles:

Proteins, carbs, vitamins, calories.. We want it all. Check out my downloadable plan for diet plans and insight on the food and what it does.

Exercise principles:

Eat to grow, then eat some more.

You've read it over and over and over again. You've processed the same information again and again. If you aren't eating already, that's the reason you're not growing. Actually, you don't need any fancy magic to grow, you need some ripped muscles and food to repair them. Period.

In my plan, you'll find all the exercises you'll need, pointers and hints, and a routine.

Supplements and Vitamins:

Whey Gainer
Creatine
Regular Vitamin tablets

Incredible story and a great role model

5

Incredible story mate and you should be so proud of turning your life around.

Keeping a healthy body leads to a healthy mind and I think you're a great role model for anyone reading this who is in the unfortunate position you were in at the beginning of your journey.

Great one mate. It's people like you ZodBod is all about!
